My cheap bedroom shelves. Working on some wall shelves to save floor space and showcase things a bit better… this is only about 1/5 of my monster/eyeball junk. Be envious of my sweet 90’s Nickelodeon clock. Oh, and they’re hard to see but the 4 little round monsters in front of the brown shelves are Monster Marbles! I just discovered them, now I must have them all… especially Fisheye, Sea Goblin, and all those Slimer-lookin’ ones and glow-in-the-dark ones ahghhh. <3
‘cause you’re totally not sick of her yet. :P
Some personal favorite past posts that got few to no notes.
A post about pretty roaches I made 3 years ago.
A sketch of Vera with roach parts running with roaches. Need to finish!
MY SOCKS (some of them).
Maternal cockroach keeps her babies under her wings.
How can so many AWESOME eyeball monsters have zero notes?!
Art by Sif! This means so much to me, the perfect representation of my clown girl self, Boogle. My heart is exploding with glee ;u;
Boogle belongs to me since 1846!! ;P But seriously… there are a surprising number of shallow mimics of her around since I first made her. May they all drown in the swirly surreal oceans of my dreamscape. <3
A work-in-progress reference for Boogle. Not sure if I like it. I wanted to show all her outfits & accessories, but having photo examples looks a bit jumbled. I’d like to make a flash type thing (never worked in it) that you can click to view other outfits on her, but not sure how to do that, so I’ll probably just draw her outfits in somewhere along with her backstory/description, or at least as much of it as I can fit without it being too much for other artists to read, since it’s pretty lengthy. I just figured it was about time to make a reference that covered everything about Boogle in one image, so I wouldn’t have to link artists I commission to like, 8 different pictures anymore x_x; because, as an artist myself, I know how damned stressful and annoying that is.
Realizing more and more that the more meaningful a character is for me, the less capable I am of making it simple lol. Boogle means more to me than any of them. Can’t wait to find the time to finish this.
My clown girl, Boogle done by STiR! eee :D I love that they made her whole body white instead of light lilac with the darker spots. Looks like she has on full-body clown paint. <3
It’s hilarious when internet people who don’t know me one bit try to hurt my feelings… it’s always either a. I draw SELF-INDULGENT ART rather than loads of fanservice for their self-entitled asses, b. uhh… CLOWNS=WEIRD, wat are you some kind of WEIRDO, c. You have a rape fetish OMGZ THAT MEANS U HATE WOMMIN or d. EW ROACH LOVR U NASTY. None of these things are insulting to me, because either they are tremendously untrue* or tremendously NOT INSULTS lol. I always get a little scared when someone doesn’t like me, thinking “oh they must have some reason, maybe I did something to offend them at some point?”, but I love when it winds up being that they’re just little bitches who don’t know me one bit and have nothing better to throw at me than U WEIRD. But yes, I get this one a lot… here, on drama sites, and -especially- on my youtube comments. x)
(*But actually I totally fuck roaches, that one’s true.)

Now back to your regularly scheduled clowns, monsters and bugs.

Bleh, I hate that I got bored with this. It just wasn’t coming out as I’d hoped. Stupid fat ugly Boogle. Having one of those “I hate my art” days, I guess. I like how the Oogles were coming out, though! I like to imagine them as little creatures that can form their optic nerves into male/female or animal bodies, even just 8 spidery legs or one long tendril they can slug around on.
Quick doodle for my last.fm page. Add meeee :3
Only one friend come to my party, the awesome Chaz! It was just Nick, my mom, Chaz and I, but we cooked, laughed and watched horrible scary movies, and my Halloween bug was fully satisfied. My pumpkin pot pies came out pretty good! There were tons of Trick-or-Treaters, I handed out little eyeball goodie bags, and it was so cute how much the kids enjoyed them. (I added more actual candy at the last second after running to the store XD) But they were still so excited about the eyeball stuff, and proclaimed “ewww!” while squishing the gooey eyes and were practically fighting over who got what (even though I put the same identical things in each baggie). I carved a pumpkin into a cockroach, though I wasn’t super happy with it, it didn’t come out too bad for an hour or so rush-job right before the Trick-or-Treating was supposed to start. Next year, I shall make a roach-o-lantern masterpiece!
The only thing I didn’t get to do was dress up, but we didn’t go anywhere, anyways. I just didn’t have the energy to finish my costume. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still working on it! I hope to get it done sometime in November. It’s starting to get cooler now (finally) in FL, and the air smells so fall-y and crisp… so I’ll likely have a little more energy for such projects now. Hope everyone else had a nice Halloween as well! If you love Halloween but didn’t get to do anything… make plans, guests be damned - make treats, decorate, dress up, take pics… you’ll have fun! <3
Some Halloween crap I got… the eyeball light flashes blue and green, but it flashes so fast, all the photos I took of it came out purpley and COOL like. Spot the frog in the orange lights picture! That’s Hubert. He’s one of three wild frogs I call “my frogs” because they’re basically like outdoor pets… they sleep in one of my torch lights during the day (I mist them on occasion), and climb all over the sliding glass doors at night, catching moths and driving Eyeball (my cat) crazy :P The same three have lived there for… basically the whole time I’ve lived in my own house! Third pic is a jack-o-lantern I carved within like, 30 minutes for Nick’s dad. It’s all tiny and cute-like. Really got me excited to carve my own pumpkin, which is this weird, elongated shape that should be perfect for sculpting into a cockroach.
Boogle as she was drawn in 2007 vs a picture of her I just finished. She’s changed a lot, as you can see. I think she has a more realistic, weighted look, and looks more like me, which is good since she IS me. Her hair is longer and more doll-like and her flesh, when visible, is more purpley-toned and less human-looking, which is also good since she isn’t technically human. Her outfits are more whimsical and girly, as well.
Anyway, I just found this when sifting through old art, and thought it’d be fun to re-do it, since I don’t think I’ve drawn her juggling since the old version!
Some of you may remember this post, I’m finally sharing some of the screenshots I took of this amazing, beautiful film. There are so many more interesting aspects and scenes, but I mostly am sharing my favorite creatures from it.
