Zombie girl, Molly. I originally wanted to make her a clown, but decided to go in another direction. She likes latex and pretending to be a deer. She was infected (think The Walking Dead type infection where you become a zombie when you die, but the infection doesn’t show until then), then died from strangulation. Her black lacy collar hides the bruising. Permanent hemorrhage in her right eye. She’s still fairly “fresh”, thus the rosy cheeks, but is also injected with an embalming fluid (by a mystery person i.e. Idon’tknowyet) which keeps her decay to a minimum. She still retains a bit of memory and emotional reactions, but little more than that of a dog or cat. She can’t speak but makes the usual gurgles and shrieks.
Something else which keeps her from decaying is her parasite, which has infested her organs and sprouted three blue tentacles. Her parasite needs to feed frequently on bone marrow, and does so on her ribs and spine from time to time, but mostly, it relies on Molly’s diet, as it doesn’t want to kill its host. Molly would normally leave the bone of her prey after feeding, so the parasite has had to adapt by connecting to her brain and causing her to crave the bones, which she eats whole. The parasite produces an extremely caustic gastric acid for Molly’s stomach and has made other alterations to her insides so that she can break down the bone, allowing the parasite to suck the marrow through via a tube connected to her stomach. (Inspiration taken from the Lammergeier & the Osedax worm.) It also lives in symbiosis with Molly as it gives back nutrients to her body which help to keep her bones flexible and stall rigor mortis.
I should try and depict the parasite as it appears within the body sometime. It has a nerve-like head which wraps around the stomach of its host, and I’m thinking maybe an octopus-like mouth in the middle with a beak that allows it to snap bones all by itself, giving it three sources for food. (I’m no biology expert, but I like to try and make at least some sense out of my monsters.) I love her. <3 Even though she’s not a clown, she may dress as a pierrot from time to time.
Just some works in progress I found in an old folder.
The halfway-inked Boogle was going to be her new ref, and she was coming out -exactly- as I imagined her. A more doll-like face, bigger eyes & lips, hair dragging the ground, and curvy bjd body. <3
The painting was going to be a scene from my childhood, I spent my time playing in the 40 or so acres of woods my grandparents owned back in West Virginia. It was so magical there; I played by myself from dawn until dusk with my imaginary friends, singing songs and studying bugs I’d find. There was a particular patch of moss that was so magical, the sun would beam down onto it with tall trees perfectly encircling it all around me. I’d nap there until a bird or deer would wake me up. I don’t miss much about WV beyond the wildlife, specifically on my grandparents’ land. The mountains, lush trees, cool air, big rocks, the smell of moist earth, thick, soft moss, hiding places and secret nooks… something so mystical about it in the Spring-Autumn months.
Just a little personal art WIP of a sunglow boa character I’m thinking of being yet another representation of myself/outlet for my desire to be a beautiful scaly slithery creature ;u; Thinking of naming her Effigia, as I was planning on making some of her features (mainly limbs, torso and position while walking) similar to the long and slender archosaur. It’s especially fitting as both my real boas are named Ghost and Eidolon :P I’m trying to resist giving her a fancy collar and third eye, but that seems to be a running “theme” for any personas I make, which may be a good and bad thing. Part of me thinks “hey this is a cool” but the bigger part of me thinks “man people must thank I’m LAME and uncreative for always throwing a third eye on all my more personal characters” x.x ANYWAY. What do you guys think?
<-me, my art!
