So this just happened. Baby squirrels <3
Only one friend come to my party, the awesome Chaz! It was just Nick, my mom, Chaz and I, but we cooked, laughed and watched horrible scary movies, and my Halloween bug was fully satisfied. My pumpkin pot pies came out pretty good! There were tons of Trick-or-Treaters, I handed out little eyeball goodie bags, and it was so cute how much the kids enjoyed them. (I added more actual candy at the last second after running to the store XD) But they were still so excited about the eyeball stuff, and proclaimed “ewww!” while squishing the gooey eyes and were practically fighting over who got what (even though I put the same identical things in each baggie). I carved a pumpkin into a cockroach, though I wasn’t super happy with it, it didn’t come out too bad for an hour or so rush-job right before the Trick-or-Treating was supposed to start. Next year, I shall make a roach-o-lantern masterpiece!
The only thing I didn’t get to do was dress up, but we didn’t go anywhere, anyways. I just didn’t have the energy to finish my costume. But that doesn’t mean I’m not still working on it! I hope to get it done sometime in November. It’s starting to get cooler now (finally) in FL, and the air smells so fall-y and crisp… so I’ll likely have a little more energy for such projects now. Hope everyone else had a nice Halloween as well! If you love Halloween but didn’t get to do anything… make plans, guests be damned - make treats, decorate, dress up, take pics… you’ll have fun! <3
This was on Trash Pack’s facebook this morning :) Couldn’t have picked a better, more Halloween-y line-up!
Some Halloween crap I got… the eyeball light flashes blue and green, but it flashes so fast, all the photos I took of it came out purpley and COOL like. Spot the frog in the orange lights picture! That’s Hubert. He’s one of three wild frogs I call “my frogs” because they’re basically like outdoor pets… they sleep in one of my torch lights during the day (I mist them on occasion), and climb all over the sliding glass doors at night, catching moths and driving Eyeball (my cat) crazy :P The same three have lived there for… basically the whole time I’ve lived in my own house! Third pic is a jack-o-lantern I carved within like, 30 minutes for Nick’s dad. It’s all tiny and cute-like. Really got me excited to carve my own pumpkin, which is this weird, elongated shape that should be perfect for sculpting into a cockroach.
I decided to take these again, only they’ll be done by Christmas instead of Halloween (since I have so much on my plate as-is), but I think they have somewhat of a Christmas Carol feel, and can feature ghostly chains or a floating candle beside them, giving an orangey-yellow glow to one side of their ghostly faces. They could have holly in their hair, string lights around their neck, or other Christmas-y things :>
Day 08 - Your favorite anthology:
The way it ties the stories together is perfect. You go into it thinking it won’t be anything special but it’s SO entertaining and I would recommend it to anyone.
Have I really not posted about Trick ‘r Treat yet?! This person speaks the truth. It’s an instant classic and I watch it constantly, and NEVER get sick of it. Plus, Sammy is absolutely precious and impossible not to adore. ;u;
Some outfit concepts for Rickets, my ghost/monster girl. I’ve had her since 2007 <3 I made her thicker for reasons.
I decided on these eyeball items from Cracker Barrel. The pink one is a compact mirror :) We wound up eating there as well for the first time. I’ve had worse breakfast food :P

:0 Cracker Barrel HERE I COME. A Twitter friend took this pic and said it made her think of me. :D So glad she did, can’t wait to get some of these thingggs

Spooky speedpaint 12 of 13, another request of my Scythemantis’, so far I’ve had the most fun with his suggestions :D Metaluna mutants are adorable and easily identifiable creatures that are super fun to paint. Now off to a pagan feast at our friend Dylan’s house :D I’ll try and get pictures to post later! Oh, forgot to mention, this one took 20 mins.

Spooky speedpaint 11 of 13, werewolf Marceline! I’m glad if people like this, though it will undoubtedly get more <3’s than any of the others, despite putting the least effort into it (18 mins) ah, well XD Only two left! I have no idea what I’ll do for the last one, but it’s gotta be something special…..

Ooo! Lookie what I found!
Spooky speedpaint 10 of 13. You get two today and possibly another later, just in case I will be too busy one or two days between now and Halloween to do one! Here’s a Boogle dressed in her monster costume. I wish I could find pink slime in the garbage. This one took about 35 minutes.

Spooky Speedpaint 9 of 13 is Dr. Seemore, the optometrist monster/demon. See a photo of the actual 2’ latex creature HERE! I just adore him, and I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve done a colored picture of him. I’ve sketched him like mad, but it was so fun to paint him. This one took about 30 mins.
